"Jones has the audience swooning until the final curtain,” raves Theatre Mania. Nationally acclaimed actor and recording artist Christopher Kale Jones offers his distinctly passionate voice to the diverse catalogue of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bobby Darin. Beloved by audiences for starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys (First National Tour), Jones currently wins hearts on PBS as a member of retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp. In his solo concert, Jones embodies the dazzling versatility of the legend he loves. With wry and wistful charm he recounts a life lived in the spotlight and lost too soon. I received my training as an actor and singer at Northwestern University in Chicago, before spending the bulk of my career in New York and Los Angeles. In a crazy turn of events, I now find myself back in the Emerald City of Chicago, with my beautiful wife Jenna, daughter Presley, and Boston terrier Fender.
While living in New York, I was cast as Frankie Valli in the Musical Jersey Boys, which allowed me to tour all over the country. Truly a cultural phenomenon, this show allowed me to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and eventually led to my current work as a member of the PBS vocal group, Under The Streetlamp.
Other career highlights:
As Seymour and Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, my wife and I performed for President Barack and Michelle Obama at the famous Ford's Theater in Washington DC.
With my band Under The Streetlamp, (check out the 'band' page for more details) I've appeared on Access Hollywood, Extra, morning shows from Los Angeles to New York City, and internationally. Additionally, I've been privileged to appear in concert at such historical and eclectic venues as the Greek Theater and L.A. Live in LA, Wolf Trap in DC, and B.B. King's in Times Square, NYC.
